Our Nursing Department, located in Tarsus, known for its historical richness, aims to educate the most equipped individuals in the field of nursing with its contemporary education approach and experienced academic staff who are experts in their fields. We believe that nursing is not only a profession, but also a responsibility and humanitarian duty; we educate our students with this understanding.
Our department aims to provide its students with a broad perspective, guided by the scientific and contemporary health vision pointed out by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Our curriculum is designed to develop not only theoretical knowledge but also skills such as clinical decision making and problem solving. We offer an education that prioritizes human qualities such as empathy, leadership and ethical values while providing the scientific infrastructure required by the nursing profession.
The legacy of Florence Nightingale, one of the pioneers of the nursing profession in our country, who served humanity even on the battlefields, and Safiye Hüseyin Elbi, the first Turkish nurse, constitutes one of the core values of our department. Drawing strength from this inspiring past, our students will become professionals who not only provide healthcare services but also add value to society and act ethically and responsibly.
