As part of a collaboration between our university and the Tarsus Directorate of National Education, a seminar titled “Type 1 Diabetes and Its Management” was organized for students at Cumhuriyet Middle School!

The collaboration aimed to help students develop health literacy and raise their awareness of chronic conditions. The presentation, delivered in clear and engaging language appropriate for the students’ age group, covered topics such as what diabetes is, the symptoms of Type 1 diabetes, healthy eating habits, and living with diabetes. The seminar was conducted by our third-year students, Havva Yeliz ASLAN and Furkan METİN, under the guidance of Research Assistant Mehmet AĞASLAN from our department.
